Assistant District Commissioner (Beavers)

We’re currently looking for a District Commissioner. Beavers

This is a management role, and we need someone who can provide leadership, motivation and guidance to our other adult volunteers.

You don’t need any prior experience of Scouting to apply for this role; we’ll make sure you’re fully trained and supported.

Help the section leaders offer an adventurous programme of activities to fully engage the young people and inspire them to reach new goals

18-25 Year Old Executive Committee Member

Being a Committee Member within Scouting is an exciting new challenge, which can give you the opportunity to develop a unique skillset from other volunteer roles within the Association. While being well supported on an Executive Committee, you will be able to see benefits to yourself in becoming a local charity Trustee.

Youth Shaped Scouting has been a large part of The Scout Association’s Skills for Life strategy, which aims to have a movement where decisions at all levels are shaped by young people.

Therefore, as an under 25 Committee Member you will supporting our vision of having Youth Shaped Scouting at the heart of everything we do.

As a Committee Member on one of our several committees or working groups, you will shape key decisions, contribute your ideas and learn valuable skills for life along the way.

What do the District Executive Do?

The District Executive Committee plays a vital role in the running of a Scout District. Executive Committees make decisions and carry out administrative tasks to ensure that the best quality Scouting can be delivered to young people in the District. Rules referred to as POR

Vale of Aylesbury District Scout Grants

The Vale of Aylesbury Scout District provides a grant scheme to the groups of the district to support capital equipment or building projects on the scout premises.

District Hardship Funds

The Vale of Aylesbury Scout District provides grants via its hardship funds to support Young People in Scouting across the Vale. Each application supported by the Group will be look at on an individual bases.
